TOURIST FOOD SPOTS IN NEW YORK

I am a tourist in NYC, so why not try the tourist spots!

I have been to Bubba Gump at Times Square and tried Shrimper’s Heaven (voted #1 guest favorite) and Cajun Shrimp. Had too many calories, but as it is written on the menu, “Mama always said… when you are laughing out loud, you’re healing your soul!” Life is too short to care about calories :))

I also saw a Cuban restaurant called Havana restaurant located at 27 west 38th street and tried black bean soup, Cuban appetizer sampler (papa rellenas, empanadas, croquetas, yuca frita), beef with saffron rice and churros. Well, it was just OK.

NOBU RESTAURANT NEW YORK

I went to Nobu restaurant today at 57th street between 5th and 6th avenue. The atmosphere was quite nice. I tried the rock shrimp with creamy sauce, crispy tuna and king crab & california sushi. For the dessert I had bento box (dark chocate coulant, caramelised cocoa nibs and matcha gelato). I fell in love with all I must say, all were extremely delicious and the service was good as well. I will certainly come back next time I am here.

Tao Restaurant New York

Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended. Try sushi, black cod, noodles and desserts. Don’t miss this place. Amazing!

DESSERT TIME…

It took me almost all day to cook, but took around an hour or so for my family to finish whatever I cooked today. Isn’t that a great feeling? I have only now remembered to take the photo of my desserts, after half of them was finished. The photo does not look so fancy, but hope you like it, the way we liked the taste of them all. So here is what I prepared today for desserts: Cookies, tiramisu and apple pie… Now its fun time with the family… Happy New Year again and see you soon hopefully…

I AM THE COOK OF THE DAY TODAY…

I will have family over and I am the cook of the day today. I am so tired already, but excited for the dinner of the last day of the year. Here is a selection of the photos of the table I am preparing for tonight. My preparations still go on though and I fear I do not have much space left for all the other specialities of tonight’s dinner. Well, this is just the beginning. I have been cooking all day long 🙂
